Your key responsibilities

You will be engaged in complex compliance and advisory work, working with colleagues all over the globe, writing correspondence and providing authoritative advice/guidance. You will also work on small and large scope client projects, supporting them in developing their mobility operating model or global employment structure, undertaking multi-jurisdictional tax due diligence, collaborating with their cross-functional stakeholders andmanaging large scale projects. Directly engaging our clients is vital, be ready to question and negotiate to provide results.

Key attributes for success

• Successful delivery of mobility performance improvement projects: technical excellence and practical/business driven approach to solving complex client challenges
• Collaborate with international EY colleagues and across time zones to undertake multi-jurisdictional and multi-dimensional tax diligence associated with client planning projects
• Develop and deliver client presentations and reports that incorporate tax technical subject matter and multi-functional business consult
• Conduct tax technical research, write US tax technical memorandums and formulate formal tax opinions
• Generate revenue through identifying follow-on engagement opportunities and developing lasting relationships with clients; identify potential risks and opportunities to improve processes and acquire new business; contribute to business development and client pursuit activities
• Lead workstreams from planning to implementation – managing resources and budgets effectively
• Develop understanding of expatriate tax issues, trends and tools, and maintaining your reputation as an authoritative professional
• Managing, coaching, and developing junior resources and peers, focusing on their technical and client service skills to develop their career

To qualify for the role you must have

• A bachelor’s degree in related field; MST, MAcc or JD/LLM preferred
• Experience in global workforce matters: Big 4, global management consultancy firm, niche consultancy or in-house role with exposure to large-scale projects
• CPA license, Enrolled Agent or membership to state Bar or progress to attaining those mentioned.
• An understanding of tax laws
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to confidently influence colleagues and clients
• Analytical approach to tax; ability to convert complex data into meaningful strategic insights
