Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirementsfor this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.


Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Scienceor related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • ORMaster's Degree in Computer Scienceor related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities
  • ​Architect, design and implement code changes in core PostgreSQL engine.
  • Oversee areas of architecture, build andproductizeV0.01 projects.
  • Build frameworks, analyze and fix performance bottlenecks found at cloud scale.
  • Build prototypes to evaluate design and architectural options.
  • Provide guidance and technical mentoring to engineers in the team.
  • Maintain operations of live service on a rotational, on-call basis when issues arise.​
