Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional/Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent AND 3+ years mission critical services experience (e.g., high-availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields)
    • ORAssociate's Degree or technical trade certification (e.g., military, trade school), or higher-equivalent education AND 2+ years mission-critical services experience (e.g., high-availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields)
    • OR equivalent experience.

Critical Environment Ops ATR-B - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $21.88 - $35.91 per hour.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $30.58 - $39.86 per hour.

Critical Environment Ops ATR-C - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $26.39 - $46.83 per hour.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $37.21 - $51.73 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and Investigation: Conduct monitoring and trending of critical environment-related facility equipment for unsafe or abnormal conditions, recognize safe conditions, and monitor performance of data center equipment via HMI trends.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize telemetry, software systems, and other platforms to monitor site status, analyze past and current events, identify critical alarms, and escalate per applicable policies and standards.
  • Maintenance Management System: Utilize the internal Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track alarm response, document alarm details, and run reports.
  • Emergency Response : Respond to and stabilize abnormal conditions using procedures, assist in developing emergency response procedures, identify parties to mitigate incidents, and participate in creating incident timelines/data, root-cause analyses, and action items as required.
  • Incident Analysis and Communication : Analyze incident and alarm reports and trends, communicate findings to stakeholders, and contribute to strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Safety and Security Compliance: Understand and follow safety and security requirements, participate in required meetings and trainings, assess, and identify resources and equipment to support EH&S objectives, and prepare and submit required reports.
