Corporate Title: Vice President
The role sits within the EMEA Communications Team which is made up of approximately 12 people with responsibilities split across the business lines of the bank. Based in London the well-established Research Communications function has a focus on the EMEA region and requires a great deal of collaboration with internationally based colleagues for all external, internal and executive communications.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively promote thought leadership from Global Research to top-tier media outlets and TV channels
- Handle incoming interview requests from press and broadcast outlets as their known point of contact, maintain contacts lists and monitor press coverage
- Distribute daily research reports to the press, judging whether the content is appropriate for media consumption
- Manage and commission projects to an established roster of third-party PR agencies working for the bank across the EMEA region.
- Collaborate with key business partners including Research management, legal, compliance and marketing.
- Maintain detailed records and logs of all external activity
- Create internal communications including company intranet articles, departmental messaging, and key line of business developments.
Required Experience:
- A proven track record of working in an external communications role in the financial sector, preferably supporting a global markets and banking business or with a relevant agency background
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work proactively with an impeccable approach to reputational risk
- Highly responsive and able to meet tight deadlines
- Good relationship management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively – must be a team player
