Qualcomm WLAN team is responsible for developing and delivering best in class WLAN/WIFI solutions which are setting benchmark in wireless industry. Hiring for multiple positions with 0-3+ years of experience.

As a key member of a WIFI ASIC verification team you will be working with WiFi (802.11x) technology and employ best-in-class verification methodology. You will have a great opportunity to work on all cutting- edge digital chipsets and be part of the full ASIC life cycle from concept to tape-out to production.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering OR Computer Science

  • 0 to 3+ years of experience for this position

  • System Verilog/UVM based ASIC verification skills or C/C++ programming skills, and some exposure to scripting languages (Perl, Tcl, etc.)

  • Knowledge of Digital Logic, Object Oriented programming and data structures

  • 2+ years of experience with scripting tools and programming languages.

  • MATLAB systems modelling language proficiency is a plus

  • WIFI Physical layer knowledge is a plus

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Verify WiFi Physical layer blocks using UVM/SystemVerillog based test environment

  • Work with design team to understand design intent and bring up verification plans

  • Verify unit level modules and create reusable test benches for higher level systems

  • Debug test cases and report verification result to achieve expected code/functional coverage goal

  • Work on low power verification and gate level simulations

  • Support chip bring up debug and provide reference vector generation during chip bring-up

  • Write and review testplan document in accordance with template requirements.

Level of Responsibility:

• Working under some supervision.

• Making decisions that are moderate in impact; errors may have relatively minor financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships; errors may require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct.

• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. May require basic negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy, etc.

• Having a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to provide input on key decisions).

• Completing tasks with multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.

• Exercising creativity to draft original documents, imagery, or work products within established guidelines.

• Using deductive and inductive problem solving; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or incomplete; intermediate data analysis/interpretation skills may be required.

• May be solicited during strategic planning period.

Pay range:

$126,700.00 - $190,100.00
