As a , your focuswill be Key Responsibilities:
Quantity Surveying
- Carry out preparation and pricing of Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Unit rates
- Support Project Managers on
- Managing accounts receivable, insurance coverage, bad debts, etc.
- Reviewing incoming project correspondences and giving advice on responses regarding project claims and payment
- Preparing the interim and final payment claims and variation claims application for submission to clients
- Presenting, negotiating and reconciling the claim submission with clients and subcontractors and resolving disputes
- Expediting payment certificate, progress payments and claims from clients - Perform periodic review on construction program, advise of delays and highlight risk factors to the Project Managers
- Provide advice and assist Project Managers on contractual issues (e.g. EOT Claims, Delays etc)
- Work closely with Project Managers to identify, monitor, measure and value all variation works/claims
- Maintain Claims & Rates record
- Document all changes to Contract and Subcontract
- Work closely with Contract Department on contractual matters of the projects
- Assist in the preparation of subcontract agreement between Honeywell and Subcontractor
Subcontract Management/Estimation
- Assist sales/estimation in evaluation of subcontract for system installation work during pre-tender and sales proposal stage
- Support sales team in vetting Contract Documents and give appropriate advice
- Support the estimation/sales to obtain competitive subcontracting price for installation work, and track subcontractors’ rates for practical subcontractor selection process.
- Carry out material take-off of BOQ for tendering purpose
- Assist to prepare and issue RFQ/Tender to subcontractors
- Assess, evaluate and verify subcontractor pricing and performance capabilities
- Assist in verifying, assessing and expediting subcontractor’s progress claims
- Evaluate and reconcile subcontractor’s variation claims and dispute if any
- Carry out audit on subcontractor’s performance on a periodic basis
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Bachelor of Laws
- Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (MHKIS) / Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) / Registered
- Professional Surveyor (Quantity Surveying) (RPS) or equivalent is preferred
- Experience in the building and construction industry.
- Minimum 10 years related quantity surveying experience in the building control industry
- Proven track record of quantity surveying excellence
- Knowledge in HVAC, Building Management system, Fire Alarm system, and Security system
- Knowledge in subcontract management, contract laws, SIA clauses
- Possess sound financial sense in business execution
- Be customer focused
- Persistent and adaptable approach, able to maintain effectiveness in differing and changing environments.Be self motivated and results focused
- Ability to lead a diverse team including sensitivity to diverse cultures
- Good team player and relationship builder with superiors and peers
- Strong communication skill with fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
