Markets Tech DevSecOps and Developer Tooling Lead Engineer
We have a huge focus on security scanning automation, integration of industry proven SDLC tools with the firm’s software quality and compliance assurance processes, extensive usage of (and contribution to) Open Source Software.
Role Overview / What will you do:
The duties of the DevSecOps Lead Engineer include (but are not limited to):
- End-to-end delivery of various technical projects related to security, quality assurance, developer productivity and software development lifecycle (requirement analysis, project planning, execution, production launch and support)
- Supervision and mentoring of a team of Software Developers, DevSecOps and Infrastructure Engineers, setting their priorities and book of work
- Leading software development for in-house productivity solutions and tooling integrations
- Supporting the tools we develop, or buy, or adopt from Open Source, in Production
- Interfacing various teams across team silos to establish “task force” groups
- Management of software applications within ITIL framework
- Performing technical “dive-ins” into populations of bank’s applications and systems to find the sweet spots for workflow / data quality improvements
Key Skills and Experience required
- Extensive experience in Software Development (Python, Go, Java preferred), DevOps Methodology and Tooling (Artifactory, TeamCity, uDeploy, BitBucket) and Solution Design (physical/virtual infrastructure, storage, networking, architecture design)
- Extensive experience in management of teams, including vendor management
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience of administration/automation of Linux and Windows systems, and cloud platforms such as OpenShift (identity and access management, performance tuning, low-level troubleshooting)
- Build and deployment pipeline automation with Ansible/Bash/Python
- Hands-on experience in supporting Production systems (monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, deployments, disaster recovery – both automated and manual)
- Proven track record of IT transformation projects
Any Beneficial / Nice to have skills and experience:
- Understanding of enterprise workflows in estate management (hardware budgeting/ordering process)
- Working within ITIL framework (incidents, service requests, change management)
- Working with Open Source in financial organisations (both consumption and contribution techniques, risk management)
