As our Senior Consultant or Manager, you’ll provide actuarial consulting services to clients across the Life Insurance, Superannuation and Wealth Management sectors. You’ll be leading and managing projects to deliver high-quality outcomes and strategic insights.

Responsibilities:
- Provide actuarial consulting services to clients across the Life Insurance, Superannuation and Wealth Management sectors.
- Lead and manage actuarial projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Deliver pragmatic commercial solutions to our clients.
- Collaborate with senior actuaries and stakeholders across a diverse range of projects, including business transformation, capital and risk management, pricing, product innovation, liability valuation and appointed actuary work.
- Develop and implement actuarial models and methodologies to support client needs.
- Help clients to gain fresh insights to quantify their risk and improve their performance.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic advice on risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring clients are well-informed and prepared.
What we’re looking for

- Qualifications and Experience : A Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field, along with a professional actuarial qualification (e.g., FIAA) or significant progress towards it. Experience in coding, programming, and AI/GenAI is also preferred.
- Skills and Abilities : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Industry Knowledge : In-depth knowledge and experience in the life insurance, superannuation, or wealth management sectors, covering areas such as product development and pricing, capital management, risk management, asset and liability valuation, IFRS 17, Prophet modelling, embedded value reporting, unit pricing, and retirement incomes.
- Project Management and Leadership : Ability to manage projects, pursue new opportunities, and develop and mentor junior staff. Demonstrate initiative, a can-do attitude, and energy to try new things.
- Adaptability and Continuous Learning : Comfortable with complexity and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment that evolves with technological change. Stay up to date with market trends, legislation, and regulatory changes, and contribute to business thought leadership.
