Job Summary
The Presales Solutions Engineer role is a technical presales role within our Global Merchant Services team, operating in the Global Sales organization. You will provide technical discovery, product demos, solution design, and integration support for primarily headquartered in the US and Canada, and operating globally.This is a hybrid role, with three days per week in a local office expected.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the technical discovery phase with customers to understand their needs and requirements.
- Assist customers during the integration and onboarding process, ensuring smooth and successful deployment of solutions.
- Explain complex technical concepts to C-level executives and non-technical audiences, ensuring they understand PayPal's technology and value proposition.
- Record and review the solutioning process with the integration team to ensure technical and business requirements are met.
- Represent the technical voice of the customer internally, participating in product design and roadmap reviews to ensure customer needs are addressed.
Expected Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a presales consultant, solutions engineer, technical account manager, systems architect, or similar position.
- At least 3 years of experience working directly with large enterprise clients is preferred.
- Industry experience with payments, merchant services, e-commerce, and/or retail.
- Working knowledge of API and web technologies (REST, GraphQL, JavaScript).
- Strongrelationship-buildingskills with internal and external partners and a passion for collaborating on complex projects in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Comfortable presenting to C-level executive audiences.

The US national annual pay range for this role is $111,500 to $191,950
