Job Description

As a key member of New Product Development team, you will ensure the reliability of new and modified ultrasound transducer products.

Your role:

  • Guiding the new product development and sustaining change teams to meet product reliability goals.
  • Participating in the development of design specifications and verification test plans and reports.
  • Developing Reliability Plans for each development project, creating Reliability Growth Test Plans and Reports and tracking initial field reliability metrics. Providing input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely affect field reliability.
  • Facilitating DFMEA and Safety Risk analysis.
  • Working with the Transducer Service Repair function to understand and track field failure modes. Determining root cause of failure and coordinating the development of engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect product reliability and the customer experience.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 1+ years of experience within an engineering role (co-op and/or internships acceptable)
  • Your skills include structured problem-solving techniques (ex. HALT, HASS, SPC, MTBF, DFMEA, Root Cause/Failure Analysis and Weibull – a plus). Knowledge of data analysis techniques, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and/or Reliability Modeling/Prediction.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, Industrial, Systems, Quality or other related Engineering disciplines.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .
  • You’re a strong communicator (both writer and verbal) and ability to work with cross functional teams.
