Apple Software Algorithm Engineering Manager

Responsibilities include:Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and cross-functional partners, effectively communicating technical concepts and progress updates.Design and maintaining software systems supporting Algorithm development
  • M.Sc. or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field with a focus on Computer Vision and Multi-view Geometry
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical lead in Computer Vision algorithm development, ideally within a cross-functional environment. Proven ability to mentor and guide a team of engineers
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience (internships/co-ops/university experience are applicable)
  • 2+ years of management experience leading an engineering team
  • Extensive hands-on experience in programming with C++ and Python/Matlab
  • API design for libraries & frameworks accounting for versioning, compatibility, etc
  • Fluent in both oral and written English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent judgment; a self-directed, proactive approach to tackling problems, working through impediments and an ability to generate trust and build alliances with co-workers
  • Up to 10% international travel
  • Experience collaborating with team members in different time zones
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapt to shifting priorities, and dive deep into technical details as needed
  • Deep understanding of algorithm design, development, and validation methodologies
  • Experience with camera calibration is a significant plus
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
