Responsible for working with internal teams and external project stakeholders through the entire development cycle on the siting, design, and construction of utility and commercial battery storage, microgrid, and charging projects
Manage multiple projects throughout diligence, planning, design, bid, and construction phases
Work with internal teams to define and solicit scopes of works from third party engineers to support project costing, contracting, and scheduling
Serve as in-house subject matter expert on civil considerations for project design and construction permitting
Support preparation and submission of site civil plan sets and permit applications
Develop high quality civil engineering plans, including construction document drawings, specifications, calculations, and utilize and improve civil design standards and details
Review drawings and proposals by subcontractors, engineers, and customers, and drive multi-disciplinary coordination
Effectively and proactively communicate project needs, changes, and status to both internal and external team members
Attend site visits, public meetings/hearings, and agency coordination meetings
Work with federal, state, and local permitting authorities through the design and permitting process with the goal of achieve project completion consistent with the construction budget and schedule
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years’ applied project experience
Registered and in good standing as a Professional Engineer (PE). Ability to acquire their PE in TX or CA within 3 months is preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/stormwater management software
Experience in site civil design including grading, roadway, pavements, utilities, stormwater management plans (flood control and stormwater quality), erosion and sediment control plans, project sites with multi-users and modes of transportation, and industrial construction and operations
Experience with structural engineering, deep and shallow foundation designs, steel, concrete, and other building materials is preferred
Experience in geotechnical engineering, traffic/transportation, craning, and logistics is preferre
Experience managing external consultants and contractors through full scopes
Experience in multiple regions within North America is preferred
Available for travel (10%) nationally and internationally (within North America)
