Reporting to the , the purpose of this role is to lead/implement complex and standard engineering solutions, typically leading a project or undertaking one aspect of a large project (i.e. HMI, Control or Safety applications, Operational Technology, Hardware design), to successful completion within budgeted time and cost constraints achieving required quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
- Responsible for technical delivery of Control Systems projects
- Design and implementation of control systems projects, typically using Honeywell Experion controller/RTU and supervisory systems, and/or third-party PLC controllers
- Detailed design of control systems architectures
- Development of Functional Design Specification, Detailed Design Specifications, clarifications of project scope, review of design inputs and test procedures as required.
- Provide sales assistance for estimation, proposal preparation, demonstration of capability
- Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group
- Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline (e.g.: Instrument & Control, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics or Chemical Engineering).
- Project experience as Engineer in at least one of the following vertical markets: Oil and Gas, Refining or Mining and Material Handling.
- 8-12 years of applicable project experience
- Experience in implementation of Control Systems for one of the manufacturing industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining and Chemical Industrial Process is Mandatory.
- Good Knowledge of Design, implementation and support of Control Systems.
- Experience with Honeywell DCS and Safety Systems is advantageous.
- Design, installation and commissioning experience is required.
- Working with multicultural & diverse global teams.
