DUTIES: Research, design, plan, prototype and develop software solutions by translating requirements or strategic business objectives into a final product. Perform in-depth assessments of software application needs, prototype and consult to deliver application functionality. Conduct Infrastructure Maintenance through DevOps support, monitoring performance, troubleshooting, and optimization. Complete engineering assignments: design, development, documentation and testing of hardware, firmware, or software products or systems. Develop new products, and perform enhancements, and modifications on existing products. Utilize innovative methods in developing solutions. Work on abstract problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables. Serve as a lead contributor on critical projects/technology initiatives. Develop enterprise-wide integrated solutions. Contribute to complex and innovative business solutions to achieve strategic objectives. Provide technical expertise to peers across the company. Develop enterprise-wide integrated solutions. Perform Vendor Management: feature roadmap, priorities, requirements, negotiations, bugs, maintenance releases and quality. Perform software development using IP based internet protocols: UDP, TCP, TLS, HTTP, Websockets. Perform in-depth assessments of software features to ensure software quality and customer satisfaction. Mentor new talent by helping them navigate the basics of software development.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation researching, designing, planning, prototyping and developing software solutions by translating requirements or strategic business objectives into a final product; performing software development using IP based internet protocols: UDP, TCP, TLS, HTTP, Websockets; performing in-depth assessments of software features to ensure software quality and customer satisfaction; mentoring new talent by helping them navigate the basics of software development; performing Vendor Management: feature roadmap, priorities, requirements, negotiations, bugs, maintenance releases and quality; and conducting Infrastructure Maintenance through DevOps support, monitoring performance, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Our Principal-Product Development Engineers earn between $237,400 - $254,300 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
