Your impact
Ourare your opportunity to help monitor and restore coastal Louisiana wetlands and estuaries. Each day, you will work on ecological monitoring projects conducting environmental sampling and data analysis. You should be a self-motivated, team-focused individual and currently enrolled in an US accredited college or university with an environmental science focus.
Our Coastal Scientist Interns:
- Assist in scientific data collection including wetland vegetation composition and cover, hydrologic (using continuous recorders), and wetland surface elevation and accretion (via RSET/feldspar techniques).
- Work in an effective team environment, learning and taking instruction from mid and senior staff.
- Work on coastal restoration projects requiring heavy physical exertion in a variety of difficult field conditions.
- Work in the field 3-5 days per week with some light construction and shop/equipment maintenance responsibilities.
- Share work experiences in a positive work environment where talents are valued.
- Contribute to a company dedicated to sustainable development practices.
