Job Description

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and align the E2E efforts of the Data Team in Pune in close collaboration with Data Team Leader colleagues.
  • Partner closely with the HHDDA Data Team personnel to ensure work is aligned and prioritized to business needs
  • Work with Data Team Leaders and key stakeholders to improve data strategy, data enablement, data solutions and data compliance capabilities in Pune Hub.
  • Talent Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive talent development strategy aligned with the organization's goals and priorities. Collaborate with stakeholders and ‘dotted line’ managers to identify talent needs and design programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Performance Management: Coordinate the performance management process, working closely with people managers in providing guidance on performance evaluation, goal setting, and feedback. Ensure timely and effective feedback is provided by ‘dotted line’ managers to employees to support their development.
  • Coaching and Development: Identify professional development needs of the data team and design and deliver relevant training programs. Foster a culture of continuous learning and support employees in acquiring new skills and knowledge.
  • Employee Engagement: Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and promote a positive work environment. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and teamwork within the data team.
  • Career Development: Support employees in defining and achieving their career goals. Provide mentorship for career advancement and facilitate opportunities for growth within the organization.
  • Manage HHDDA Data Team budget and expense management for Pune team.
  • Attract and retain talent in collaboration with HHDDA Data Team dotted line managers.
  • Partner with and advise Data Team leaders on human resource optimization
  • Build and maintain a high-performance Pune Data Team to maximize retention
  • Partner with the HHDDA Compliance personnel to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures to maintain operational excellence and report & mitigate compliance risks

Education:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or related field (Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, etc.)

Required:

  • Data domain knowledge in commercial space in biopharma industry is a must to have.
  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant work experience, with demonstrated expertise in data and analytics solutions including a solid technical understanding of tools and architecture.
  • Strong experience in building data capabilities in biopharma industry
  • Strong leadership skill in building and coaching, setting directions and motivating multiple diverse teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Dynamic problem-solving skills in matrix organization.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and data & analytics use cases and capabilities
  • Strong organizational skills, with proven ability to navigate complex teams and highly matrixed environments

Preferred:

  • Analytics experience in commercial insights generation in biopharma industry is preferred.
