Your day to day:


You will be the voice of the customer and be responsible for design across your strategic product domain, contributing to PayPal’s outcomes. You will represent your domain to your peers, senior leaders, and execs across the wider organization. You will also mentor other designers and help lead cross-functional teams.

Job responsibilities:

  • Works with cross-functional team members in the execution and delivery of PayPal’s Fastlane checkout ecosystem, using a customer-focused, iterative design process.

  • Creates high-quality deliverables on a work stream collaborating with other designers and peers, within timelines and project requirements.

  • Leverages and fosters the use of established product design techniques, templates, presentations, and assets in the creation of UX analysis, solutions, and materials.

  • Creates interactive prototypes, templates, and contribute to our global design system

  • Plays an active role in our thriving, inspiring and rewarding UX Design practice and culture.

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years working in product design. Experience working in fintech and/or digital commerce an advantage.

  • A Bachelors in the study of design including one of the following: Design, Information Architecture, Human Factors or equivalent project/portfolio experience.

  • A portfolio that illustrates a strong design process and meaningful impact on various products.

  • Experience working collaboratively with other designers on a team but also comfortable working independently on their own projects.

  • Fluency in designing with Figma and expertise prototyping mobile and desktop interactions.

  • Experience in contributing to / using internal design systems.

  • Experience in concept testing with consumers using platforms like Usertesting.com, Userzoom, or other research tools.

  • Generalawareness/understandingof technology mediums (e.g., JavaScript, HTML/CSS) including differences between them.

  • High attention to detail and craft. Able to hold a high bar under pressure.

  • Ability to ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and a relentless attention to detail.

  • Understanding of the latest UX industry trends and the checkout landscape a plus.
