You will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and build quick prototypes or proofs of concept in partnership with other technology leaders within the team. You will tackle challenging, novel situations and will have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams spanning a variety of domains: software, hardware, networks, RF, embedded, real-time, distributed as well as industrial automation systems.Key job responsibilities
You will design and develop manufacturing software to drive the assembly, calibration, testing, and provisioning of satellites. You will collaborate with teams from manufacturing engineering, product engineering, and security engineering to identify requirements and design manufacturing software. In this role as a Software Development Engineer, you will be actively engaged in developing Kuiper's secure manufacturing software system and orchestration software capabilities. These products enable industrial automation for the manufacturing of the Kuiper satellite fleet and its supporting ground equipment. You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to develop, qualify, produce, and deploy solutions and products enabling Kuiper's global network.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
