EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Partner closely with Sales, Commercial, Legal, and Finance teams to provide timely tax input during deal structuring and negotiation.
  • Review and advise on the tax implications of commercial contracts, pricing models, and customer terms.
  • Ensure tax risks are appropriately managed within the internal deal approval process.
  • Evaluate and advise on direct and indirect tax considerations related to the launch of new products, services, or delivery models.
  • Analyze the tax implications of entering new geographic markets or establishing new business entities.
  • Conduct risk assessments for Permanent Establishment (PE), withholding tax, and VAT/GST exposure.
  • Monitor and analyse global developments in DST and other digital economy-related tax measures.
  • Lead or support projects focused on the automation and standardization.
  • Provide tax input into the design and rollout of new billing models, ensuring alignment with tax compliance requirements.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Education in Tax, Finance or Accounting.
  • A CPA, qualified Tax Advisor or similar certification with focus on taxation.
  • Experiences in Tax advisory or deal support roles ideally in a multinational corporation or Big 4 environment.
  • Experience with tax in commercial contexts, including contract reviews, new billing models and market expansion.
  • Solid understanding of global tax regimes including corporate tax, indirect tax and DSTs.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation and tax automation tools.
  • Growth Mindset. Self-driven.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, strong assertiveness.
  • Fluency in English.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years working experience in tax or finance function within Multinational Organisation or similar.
