You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. * Serve as the primary technical expert for generator systems, non-destructive testing of electrical equipment, and battery maintenance, including emergency response for critical power systems
* Perform root cause analysis on generator failures, electrical system anomalies identified through NDT, and battery performance issues within established Service Level Agreements (SLA)
* Provide specialized training to technicians on generator maintenance procedures, non-destructive testing methods (including infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, and partial discharge analysis), and battery maintenance best practices
* Develop and implement standard operating procedures for generator testing, non-destructive electrical equipment inspection programs, and battery maintenance protocols
* Conduct and oversee regular maintenance including generator load bank testing, non-destructive testing of switchgear and transformers, and battery capacity testing
* Respond to after-hours emergency calls related to generator failures, anomalies identified through NDT, or battery system alarms
* Clearly communicate technical findings from non-destructive testing and generator performance data to facility management and stakeholders
* Collaborate with facility managers and vendors to coordinate generator maintenance schedules, NDT programs, and battery maintenance or replacement projects
* Ensure compliance with safety procedures during generator maintenance, non-destructive testing operations, and battery handling
* Establish performance benchmarks for generator systems and battery banks; analyze NDT data trends and prepare detailed reports on testing results and maintenance activities
* Maintain detailed records of all generator maintenance, non-destructive testing results, and battery performance data using facility management software and Microsoft Office tools
• Perform rotational On-Call duties as the after hours on-call Services Team Manager for the data centers in the region. This includes responding to any issues within the data centers and managing the investigation, mitigation, and recovery of the issue(s)A day in the life

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Technical (Military/Trade School) training or degree in a relevant field (for example: electrical, mechanical).
- 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
- 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.) experience.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of Data Center Engineering Experience.
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience leading a team.
