The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Production Operator 1, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Not limited to heavy lifting and moving of materials.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles, and other activities in a helping or assisting mode.
  • May involve working at heights and heavy lifting of 30 pounds or more.
  • May also require the operation of industrial trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location.
  • Requires forklift certification.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Three (3) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Package, MES knowledge.
  • Understanding of Lean Management Systems, and lean tools.
