As a Software Development Manager you will drive and contribute to the strategy, goals, and requirements for our data collection, transformation, and visibility tools. You will work closely with a variety of different groups including Engineering, TPMs, and cross-functional teams to ensure that teams across the organization are equipped with the tools and data resources they need to discover insights and make an impact on the products and experiences we deliver. You will deliver industry leading data capabilities that descriptive and predictive analytics, and security insights to enable real time decision-making. You will need a deeply analytical and systems architecture mindset with the ability to tackle complex challenges and effectively influence stakeholders across AWS Security org. This is a high-impact and high visibility role that requires not only strategic vision and inventing for the customers, but also strong execution, technical depth, analytical rigor, and excellent communication.Key job responsibilities

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
