Advanced Project Engineer – Industrial Automation

As a Advanced Project Engineer at Honeywell, in Prague, youwill be responsible for assisting the Project Engineering Manager and ProjectManagement Leader with the Technical delivery of assigned projects using valueengineering. You will be designing standard engineering solutions and lead& manage assigned project application engineers to successful completionand within budgeted time and cost constraints.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

Key responsibilities

• Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, and budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
• Continuously monitors the changes in the project. Advises project manager for change orders.
• Investigates for the opportunities to be proposed to customer as change orders and/or upsell.
• Analyses the project costs periodically. Informs project management for potential savings. Takes pro-active precautions to eliminate or mitigate risks.
• Produces and/or coaches project application engineers for preparing functional design specifications.
• Produces and/or coaches project application engineers for preparing detail design specifications
• Plan, lead and monitor work assignments (Implementation, Test & Documentation) to appropriate standards and global process methodology (GPM).
• Coaches and supports assigned project application engineer(s) to ensure they are able to meet the requirements of their work assignments.
• Distribute the required activities on project assigned engineers and lead the technical part of the project.

Key skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, or equivalent polytechnic qualification and experience.
• Knowledge of CAD tools, MS Office products, Logic/Control Algorithm building with Ladder, Function Block Diagram
• Czech and English language proficiency
• Experience in Industrial Automation with PLC/DCS/ESD systems
• Knowledge of networking, database technology and trends in ITT would be highly advantageous
