Role Type-GDS Market Segment Enabler

The GDS Market Segment Enabler will be primarily responsible for strategic and tactical deployment support for go-to-market initiatives within a market segment (Industry sector or geography) as well as maintaining operational excellence and efficiencies.

Your key responsibilities

  • Understand and interpret Market Segment or service line reporting and analysis leveraging firm tools. Review and distribute timely financial performance and pipeline analysis information, including communication of key trends, opportunities and action plans specific to the target audience
  • First point of contact for data-specific queries relating to revenue, pipeline, sales, margin, NBD
  • Manage the Market Segment pipeline and drive discipline across the segment by working with account teams and Service Lines
  • Assist leadership in the planning process for the market segment and refresh the Market Segment plan annually
  • Support team in market analysis and account segmentation/ prioritization for the market segment and collaborate with Knowledge where necessary
  • Team with Business Development functional specialists, Brand, Marketing & Communications, and other resources, as needed to support market segment, service line, and account team needs.
  • Leverage the global EY network to connect our clients to the right insights and thought leadership.
  • Responsible for follow-up on account actions by tracking progress against deadlines and driving activities
  • Driving the revenue planning process for the Market Segment and following up with accounts to ensure timely completion
  • Build and manage a repository of team information including ownership of distribution and community engagement (SharePoint/Teams channels/Yammer)

Skills and attributes for success

  • Project Management – experience building and managing project plans
  • Presentation/Analysis – experience building PowerPoint presentations or discussion documents to explain a strategy, process, or relationship history; experience using excel to analyze data for generating insights on trends within dataset
  • Professional maturity to confidently interact with Market Segment stakeholders. Demonstrate a level of assertiveness, and authority while communicating with the Senior Stakeholders and the ability to articulate viewpoints in a succinct manner
  • Communication – Demonstrate effective communication at all levels of the organization. Understand the nuances, ability to listen effectively, have a global mindset to operate effectively across borders
  • Networking – demonstrate the ability to create networks within a company and use it to navigate across an organization to get information to answer questions that arise across the Market Segment
  • Consultative – demonstrate ability to approach problems and/or projects through effective question/answer techniques to identify needs/issues/desired outcomes and propose solutions to meet needs/issues/desired outcomes
  • Emotional Intelligence – demonstrate understanding of different working/personality styles and appreciation of need to flex approach and message to effectively engage
  • Entrepreneur/Proactive behaviors – desire to make the role their own and to create opportunity areas to involve themselves in day-to-day operations

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A Master’s degree or bachelor's degree with relevant experience
  • 7+ years of Professional Services experience preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to work and influence cross-functionally and geographically and with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and departments
  • Proven sound judgment and flexibility in balancing multiple project requirements, tight deadlines, and keeping people and projects moving on schedule, with high attention to detail
  • Understanding of business research/data analysis concepts across sectors and companies – strong experience in one or more sector/s would be preferred but not mandatory

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Exposure to tools like Tableau, PowerBi etc.
  • Credible experience working in a fast-moving, client-driven environment

Certification Requirements

  • Expected to remain current on relevant EY training and curriculum (e.g., Account Management Framework (AMF), Lead Badges, among others
  • Successful completion of EY Global Business Development certification program within 1 year of hire (as deemed appropriate by the Client Management leader
