In support of the rapidly evolving payments landscape, the Payments Controls Organization is undergoing a transformation and advancing its end to end strategic operating model, bringing together the product, operations and technology controls organizations. Control managers are responsible for partnering with the Payments business to oversee control requirements at the portfolio level and make sure requirements align with product strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Primary control responsibilities and oversight for all controls impacting Liquidity & Account Solutions including front line controls, operational controls and technology controls
  • Drive and lead oversight of the end to end system of controls that mitigates risk through active engagement, thematic reviews, risk analysis and control deep dive which continuously manage and reduce the Business’s residual risk profile.
  • Identify and proactively manage risk to delivery of our end to end target operating model strategies.
  • Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
  • Refining and establishing governance and systems that identify, quantify, manage and monitor risk.
  • Establish risk tolerances and risk management procedures as well as tools in consultation with the business and relevant partners.
  • Engage with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions
  • Execution and implementation of business control priorities and strategy – driving the control agenda through monitoring key operational risks, management concerns, strategic control initiatives, business evolution, risk and control governance and reporting
  • Review and analyze program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) to proactively identify existing and emerging Operational risks and issues, to support business-related programs and strategies
  • Drive the CORE strategy and uplift controls globally, in partnership with regional Product and Controls. Provide leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the firm’s operational risk self-assessment reporting process and system, i.e. CORE (Control and Operational Risk Evaluation). This includes control deficiencies and resolutions, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk
  • Coordinate and engage in Regulatory Exams and Audits (both internal and external)
  • Identification, documentation and remediation of control gaps, risk assessment and root cause issue analysis
  • Support the monthly controls governance agenda.
  • Prepare the materials for the Business Control Forum in partnership with other control managers, and attend other regional and governance forums as necessary.
  • Deliver high quality, consistent and meaningful executive reporting and analytics to identify trends and themes to support business decisions
  • Create and deliver executive communications, status reporting, and metrics
  • Drive Innovation efforts across the organization, ensuring stakeholders are onboard with the requirements and support delivery

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • 7+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, compliance or product management preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create and evaluate the operational risk and control environment in conjunction with business partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
  • Prior Experience in Liquidity Solutions, Account Solutions, Virtual Accounts, Cash Management, Escrow and related products will be an advantage
