Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience enabling the transition of consumer electronics products from New Product Introduction (NPI) to mass production scale.
Experience with statistical process control, Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, Gauge R and R, Design for X (DFX), and fixture design/qualification.
Experience in mechanical manufacturing processes (e.g., Stamping, Forging, Injection Molding) with Materials Engineering and System Integration.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in the consumer electronics including new materials and automation solutions with the knowledge of traditional mechanical manufacturing processes.
Experience of product design process/manufacturability of the material by proposing Design for X (DFX) improvements with a data motivated approach.
Knowledge of common surface finishing operations (e.g., painting, plating, anodizing, polishing, lapping, sandblasting), mechanical bonding processes (e.g., snap/press fits, ultrasonic welding, gluing, application of pressure sensitive/liquid adhesives).
Knowledge of cosmetic quality standards (e.g., defining and measuring color, specifying and measuring surface finish, creating cosmetic defect catalogs, establishing grading limits).
