We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong C++ programming skills who can define and implement our vision of a scale-out, analytical graph query engine, enabling large-scale graph analytics for data analysts, business users, and data scientists across all organizations.

• This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

• ​​Master’s or PhD Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Professional experience in design, development, and operation of distributed databases and other distributed data systems as an Individual Contributor.
• Exposure to graph data systems, high-performance computing, orlow-latencyserving systems is a plus.

• ​​You willparticipatein the design and development of our analytical graph query engine, based on modern C++, collaborating with industry experts on the query frontend,optimizationand distributed execution components.
• You will analyze tradeoffs and prioritize development, modularization, optimization, testing, repairability and observability of the core system components.
• You will implementappropriate observabilitymetrics andanalyzsethese metrics to improve the quality of decisions.
• You will work on collecting, classifying, and analyzing complex data.
• You will coordinate with leads amongst multiple group project plans, release plans, and work items in coordination withappropriate stakeholders(e.g., project managers)
