Description
• Validating OTA test cases for different carrier/industry conformance requirements in certification test setups.• Translating industry conformance/ regulatory/ carrier specification requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance/ carrier management teams to ensure product validation covers all certification/performance tests.• Define/execute validation plan for custom SW features • Debugging marginal/failure tests with cross-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/ Product Design/EE/etc. and drive design changes to address issues• Maintain test setups via periodic checks, calibration, etc.• Drive planning/executing on final certification testing at 3rd party test labs for PTCRB/CTIA/CWG testing.
Key Qualifications
- Working experience with MIMO/UWB characteristics (at a system level), antenna design and requirements for modern wireless communication systems such as UWB, LTE, WiFi, 802.11ad and mmWave systems
- Working experience with wireless protocols, antennas, and radio propagation.
- Experience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/GPRS/EDGE/LTE, 5G mmWave, etc. including the corresponding system level specifications (e.g., ETSI 51.010, 51.05…) is important.
- Working experience with different lab equipment: network analyzers, signal generators, signal analyzers, call boxes (i.e., CMW), channel emulators.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and certification process for CTIA and 3GPP.
- Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal.
Education & Experience
BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 10 years of relevant experience.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
