TheBusiness Analyst, Biomechanical Software, will be part of the Product Innovation (R&D) team in San Jose, CA. In this role, you will drive, write and manage requirements and support releases of cloud services and user-facing applications in a regulated medical device environment. Beyond regulatory requirements, you will work closely with expert stakeholders and with developers of complex, computational geometry-based C++ and Python Applications deployed on the cloud as well as desktop based. This position is in Product Research and Development dept, meaning,the role includes management of the software requirements, from initial conception, documentation, review, through development, verification (SQA) and validation. The successful candidate will have exceptional technical documentation skills, ability to collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams, as well as members of the software team (Development and Quality). In addition, the successful candidate will represent the team as a functionality expert within the company.
In this role, you will…
- Derive use cases and detailed software requirements from high level business and clinical goals.
- Closely collaborate with Product Management, Software Development, Quality, Product engineering teams to ensure requirements are testable and unambiguous.
- Manage traceability and regulatory documentation for a medical software
- Contribute to architecture and software design decisions.
- Interview experts to build consistent and comprehensive knowledge base
- Collaborate closely with Multiple software that are in their infancy and take them through release process.
- Create and continue to simplify internal processes such that they complement the company wide processes well.
In this role, you’ll need …
- Strong communication skills – clear communications with technical and non-technical audience.
- 5+ years of Work experience in working with software requirements.
- Being able to understand, reason with 3D concepts.
- Experience writing requirements for 3D CAD / geometry-based software.
- Highly Preferred: Hands on Experience with 3D printing.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.
- Interest in learning the problem domain and sharing knowledge with the wider team
- Ability to work in a formal process and achieve high quality in every detail.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, or STEM Major, or equivalent years of experience – Engineering preferred.
