DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will lead a team of scientists to fine tune and evaluate the LLM to improve instruction following capabilities, align human preferences with RLHF, enhance conversation responses with RAG techniques, and various other. You will use your management, research and production experience to develop the team, communicate direction and achieve the results in a fast-paced environment. You will have significant influence on our overall LLM strategy by helping define product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.Key job responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
- 5+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application experience
- 2+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience
- Solid technical background and familiar with natural language processing and particularly latest LLM techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- PhD in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics with specialization in machine learning, deep learning, or natural language processing
- 3+ years of experience in building conversational AI and/or natural language processing systems. Experiences working with LLMs for large-scale business applications is a strong plus.
- Project management experience working on cross-functional projects.
- Ability to work well with people, helping to achieve stretch goals in a highly ambiguous and fast paced environment
- Publications at peer-reviewed NLP/ML conferences (e.g. ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, AAAI, etc.)
