What You'll Do
- Labor Relations Strategy : Develop and implement labor relations strategies at an EMEA level which reflect the legal and cultural contexts of labor markets in the Netherlands and France.
- Works Council Management : Directly manage the Works Council in the Netherlands, lead negotiations and mandatory consultation processes and facilitate effective communication and collaboration on behalf of the company.
- Support for France : Support the Senior Labor Relation Partner in France and ensure alignment with the organization's labor relations’ strategy and objectives.
- Risk & Legal Compliance : Ensure adherence to Dutch and French labor laws and Works Council regulations, providing updates and necessary training to relevant stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with Business and People and Places stakeholders at an EMEA and global level along with employee representatives in EMEA to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
- Problem solving : Identify and anticipate potential roadblocks or process improvements opportunities and build solutions to foster quality and efficiency
- Team Management : Develop team member, foster a culture of mentorship and drive accountability for progress
- ER Global projects : Contribute to the development and roll-out of Global ER initiatives and programs to relevant stakeholders in the EMEA region.
- ER Investigations : Experience in handling employee relations investigations is a plus, contributing to effective resolution and compliance as needed.
What You'll Need- Bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, or Dutch employment law.
- Extensive experience in labor relations (8+ years), particularly with Works Councils in the Netherlands. Exposure to the Works council in France is a plus.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and Works Council legislation in the Netherlands. Understanding of French or German labor laws is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build constructive relationships with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications- Strong writing skills, with the ability to create clear and impactful documentation.
- Strong mediation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Cultural awareness and the capacity to navigate distinct labor landscapes in both the Netherlands and France.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at every level of the organization
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Familiarity with conducting employee relations investigations is preferred.
