Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics predictive analytics, research)

    • OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)

    • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)

    • OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years’ experience coding in Python and experience in natural language processing or deep learning.
  • 2+ years' experience in a deep learning library, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams, such as product managers, designers, researchers, engineers, and stakeholders, and experience communicating & collaborating with leadership.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in a relevant field AND 2+ years related research experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor.
  • Experience participating in a top conference in the relevant research domain.
  • A PhD degree is a plus but not mandatory, provided there is a desire for deep learning models and a willingness to collaborate with AI experts and engineers in the team.
  • Publications in top conferences in natural language processing and deep learning are a big plus.
  • Machine learning, statistics, and data science experience are a plus.
  • Experience building large-scale AI models as general AI services to empower many organizations and people.

Responsibilities
  • Keeping a keen eye on the latest developments in the broad AI community.
  • Working with science, engineering, and program management teams to integrate the latest large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI models and open-source models into production systems.
  • Collaborating with other researchers, data scientists, product managers, and engineers in the team to build tools and improve the end-to-end AI Quality of our production systems.
  • Leveraging data from various sources and domains to design and implement innovative solutions that achieve rigorous metrics and address customer needs.
