BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of industry experience in software development, data engineering, business intelligence, data science, or related field with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with experience analyzing and interpreting data
- Proficiency in reading and writing SQL queries- Experience with common database structures and tools (e.g. Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.)
- Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles
- Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
- An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS specific solutions (e.g. Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Experience using big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Spark, EMR, etc.)
- Scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling and calling API dataA day in the life
