EY Canada’s Risk Management function is responsible for the management of a variety of risks associated with ethics, data protection, records management, client and engagement acceptance, conflicts, and independence.
Your key responsibilities
- Manage projects related to privacy and data protection, records and information management, record of processing activities, and other compliance, independence and risk initiatives.
- Individual will be required to provide appropriate and effective solutions as they manage projects for the Risk Management function.
- Measure and monitor the progress of projects from start to finish, conduct regular monitoring and reporting to Risk Management leaders, solicit feedback from stakeholders and recommend improvements as needed to keep the projects on track.
- Provide direct support to the leaders in Risk Management.
- Support and promote compliance with EY policies and processes, including responding to queries from EY personnel.
- Work with EY Global functions, other EY member firms, and local stakeholders to implement global policies, processes and tools within Canada. Manage other special projects on an as needed basis.
- Project manage the development and delivery of training to new hires and professional personnel, as required by the Risk Management function.
Skills and attributes for success
- Knowledge of project management, knowledge of the services provided by a multidisciplinary professional services firm,
- Minimum five years’ experience in a project management capacity, preferably in a privacy, records management or compliance function in a large organization.
- Knowledge of the French language an asset but not required.
- Knowledge of records and information management and privacy principles, along with a keen interest in trends in privacy and technology an asset but not required.
- Organizational skills, dedication to teamwork, time-management, strong communication skills (both oral and written), ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities, attention to detail
- Strong knowledge and understanding of client service
- Familiarity with risk management and compliance and ability to understand policies and guidance
- Ability to work in a busy, deadline driven environment focused on accuracy and confidentiality
- Ability to solve problems and use sound judgment
- Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly evolving risk landscape.
