Job Description:

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located at customer's site. No relocation is offered.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Code and test new software applications to meet business requirements and user needs.
  • Front-end – Design and develop user interfaces that facilitate user experience
  • Backend – Develop server-side logic, create and manage databases and integrate APIs with front-end
  • Database Management – Design, implement and maintain databases to store and retrieve data efficiently
  • Application Maintenance and Performance Optimization: Maintain and update existing applications to fix bugs, improve performance, and ensure compatibility with new technologies.
  • Requirement Analysis and Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements/user stories, creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Quality Assurance and Technical Support: Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing, providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Collaboration and Project Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, managing development projects and staying updated with industry trends and technologies.

Required Qualifications:

B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field

The following skills / prerequisites are required:

- Minimum of3-5 years of working experience designing, developing, implementing and maintaining application solutions to include:

  • Experience operating within Agile framework methodologies and the software development lifecycle – design, implementation and deployment.
  • Proficiency as a full-stack developer with experience in front-end and back-end languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, Javascript, HTML, CSS, SOAP and RESTful APIs, SQL, PHP, JSON, etc.
  • Familiarity with or prior experience with Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) based real-time IP communication applications. Development andmaintenance of communications-based solutions such as integration of real-time communication technologies (voice, video, messaging) and/or mobile applications.
  • Experience architecting software solutions involving user interface (UI), data and database management and server-side logic

- Experience in building web applications and designing and integrating RESTful APIs to ensure data flow and or communication exchange information between applications and systems

- Hands on experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB to include data schema design and data interactions to support applications

- Familiar with cyber-security best practices that ensure data integrity and security to protect the application from vulnerabilities including authentication and authorization and encryption.

- Strong analytical thinker and problem solver who can efficiently troubleshoot problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues. Familiar with tools and methods for analyzing, debugging and troubleshooting application issues when they arise and demonstrated ability to diagnose, resolve and optimize application using rigorous logic.

- Occasional travel to other Sponsor locations within the Washington Metro Area may be required.

Oracle Certified Associate/Professional, Java SE

Microsoft Full-Stack Developer Professional Certificate

SIP School Certified Associate (SSCA)

Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate/EDB PostgreSQL/MongoDB

- Experience or working knowledge of system virtualization, VMWare or equivalent

- Experience with cloud services and connectivity with providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP

- Experience with administration of Linux platforms and CLI

- Familiarity with SIP protocol and communication application framework such as Asterisk,

- Firm understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP and VoIP technologies and concepts

Senior Applications Developer's earn between $98,100 - $228,600. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
