You’ll connect the dots, build trust and understanding between groups, and orchestrate the activities needed to deliver impactful solutions while fostering a collaborative team environment.This role is at the intersection of people leadership, business analysis, program management, and technical strategy. You will partner with Apple Retail Finance and technical teams to deeply understand relevant business activities, commercial interests, and related processes. You’ll translate business needs into clear requirements for data engineering, data science, and development teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and successful implementation of solutions that empower our finance organization. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for developing your team’s capabilities and ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to excel.
- 8+ years of experience in finance, planning, management consulting, data analytics, or related field – demonstrating analytical depth, project leadership, and increasing responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field required.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, providing guidance on both technical and business matters while fostering professional growth and career development.
- Excellent problem-framing, problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to change direction quickly while maintaining team alignment and morale.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate results of analysis in business terms, present complex information to senior leadership, and effectively communicate with team members at all levels.
- Technical acumen required to effectively discuss and strategize on solutions with IT teams; understanding of development lifecycles and ability to guide technical decision-making.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and working with large datasets, with ability to mentor others in these skills.
- Proficient in Excel and experience with data analytics tools (e.g., R, Python) and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau), with ability to guide tool selection and usage across the team.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of leading strategic programs/projects across multiple stakeholders, combined with the ability to execute tactical tasks and delegate effectively. Experience managing global technical projects that interweave across multiple functional teams and/or systems is highly desirable.
- Understanding of data management best practices to ensure sustainable data strategy in business areas and ability to implement governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results through influence; natural leader and motivator with experience building collaborative, high-performance team cultures.
- Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, comfortable with driving clarity through ambiguity while providing clear direction to team members.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
