As a Senior Software Engineer at Sam’s Club, you will take the lead in developing features and can oversee the work of other engineers, including those based offshore. This involves providing guidance, examples, and direction, as well as identifying solutions and timelines. You will also review and approve proposed solutions, implement new architectural patterns, and conduct design and code reviews for changes. We are specifically seeking someone with experience in Android development and a background in e-commerce. - Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Android framework and respective component lifecycles.
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of multithreading, networking, offline storage, and performance tuning.
- Understand product requirements, develop, and deploy the software application.
What you'll do:
- Design and implement core features in the shopping funnel of Sam's Club Android application.
- Influence and collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, design leads and the business to develop a unified approach to Mobile engineering
- Understand complex architecture and add any enhancements to the existing solutions.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
- Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards.
- Experiment with new technologies and features and build quick prototypes. Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
