Performing client management / interfacing / updates / presentations at all levels of management, Project Cost Controls partners with Project Managers to ensure complete awareness of project cost, risks and provide alternative strategies for mitigation / opportunities. Jacobs Engineering Group utilizes advanced Enterprise System platforms and data analysis solutions to support service excellence.
- You’ll have the opportunity to make a huge impact. Specifically, we’ll look for you to thoroughly understand the principles of cost control, planning/scheduling, and estimating.
- Additionally, there will be opportunities to develop and maintain productive cross-discipline relationships within the project team.
- Proactively monitor and communicate budget, actual status, and forecast costs/labor hours for projects.
- Consolidate performance data to support performance measurement, data analysis, and cost forecasting.
- Develop accurate and timely project cost forecasts.
- Assist in the development of project work plans and schedules.
- Create client and internal status reports that effectively communicate schedule status and identify critical path.
- Provide technical guidance to other project controls staff in schedule and cost control procedures.
Here's what you'll need
- At least 7 years of related experience is required
- Familiarity with Primavera v6 software, along with experience in engineering and/or construction work process and activity sequence
- Experience in using and understanding earned value progress and experience in all phases of home office engineering
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
