AWS Security is seeking a Software Development Manager to build automation that detects and drives remediation of security issues in AWS systems. You will be responsible for taking our internal Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) to the next level. You will manage a software analysis platform that provides critical visibility into the security of AWS systems for AWS leaders. While you may not be a security expert just yet, in this role you will develop a broad and deep understanding of cloud security and security automation.Key job responsibilities
This is a role that combines robust software development of scalable systems and software security. You will lead a team of engineers who build services that detect and drive remediation of security issues in AWS systems.• Hire, motivate, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, providing them with appropriate opportunities to succeed in their career objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work effectively with product managers and software engineers on other Security teams to ensure the successful delivery of features.
• Be deeply involved with engineers to architect and develop the best technical designs and approaches.
• Work with a high degree of ambiguity

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
