Configure and set up vehicles, vehicle bodies, and components for airbag deployment testing
Operate measurement equipment, high-speed cameras, lights, and deployment systems for testing
Position and utilize anthropomorphic test devices (ATDs, or crash test dummies) as needed
Accurately record setup details, measurements, test results, and any incidents that occur during testing
Fabricate, modify, and build test setups
Identify, label, and store pre- and post-test samples
Maintain test equipment and support repair and improvement projects
Ensure a safe working environment for all employee
What You’ll Bring
2+ years of experience in automotive safety and/or airbag testing (preferred)
Experience with data acquisition systems and instrumentation, especially DTS (Diversified Technical Systems) (preferred)
Familiarity with automotive safety testing regulations and procedures, including FMVSS, ECE, US NCAP, EuroNCAP, IIHS, CIASI, and CNCAP (preferred)
Photography experience (preferred)
Metal fabrication experience (mill, lathe, welding, saws, etc.) (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret test regulations and specifications
Ability to operate a forklift and lift 50 lbs.
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to use computers effectively for data acquisition, imaging, inventories, communication, and reporting (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to maintain a clean and organized laboratory work environment and adhere to 5S standards
