Backend Developer, IBM Corporation, Durham, NC (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted): Design, develop and test software automation for both z/OS and Linux environment in support of creation of an end-to-end DevOps Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipeline. Development includes automating product installation, automating configuration, automating data generation, and automating functional testcases in support of improving the velocity and quality of IBM products including Z Operational Log and Data Analytics (ZLDA) and Z Anomaly Analytics (ZAA). Work in an agile environment to create and maintain Jenkins files and YAML files for Ansible playbooks. Design, develop and test Java, Python, and shell scripting code and maintain it in a Github source control system. Create and maintain test cases and documentation. Leverage knowledge of z/OS Anomaly detection including training and scoring capabilities in support of automation efforts. Work with relational databases (e.g. Db2) and non-relational databases utilizing DBA skills to populate, maintain, query and tune the database. Utilize: z/OS and Linux environments, z/OS Subsystem Metrics, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline, Java, Docker, Jenkins, Kafka, Structured Query Language (SQL). Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related (employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing z/OS and Linux environments, z/OS Subsystem Metrics, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline, Java, Docker, Jenkins, Kafka, Structured Query Language (SQL). $154,482.00 to $162,000.00 per year.
