Critical Facilities Lab Technicians are responsible for the safe, professional, and operationally sound manipulation of the systems, such as cooling and electrical, that support systems in high-availability, high-risk, or high-reliability environments. The Technician is also involved in the development and testing of new technology in the datacenter space include the evaluation of wide variety of devices, equipment and systems in our focused lab environments and in our data centers. The key objective is to innovate or refine our test environments, evaluate and characterize systems, with the goal of improving a concept, product, service, methods and procedures.ResponsibilitiesRegularly inspect and supervise critical equipment and respond to irregular or malfunctioning conditions.Follow all federal, state, and local regulations for operations and work safety.Use appropriate PPE such as ARC Flash suits and/or coverall in a variety of environments.Support Data Center Operations including failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance / troubleshooting support, and procedure review for both mechanical and electrical issuesProject manage and coordinate with DCO System Specific ICTs as their scopes overlap, ensuring system integrity throughout all maintenance, repair and construction activities
