Your Future Role

• Be responsible in the role of a Platform Engineer, for the successful delivery and improvement of automated Cloud landscape management on SAP BTP, using Infrastructure as Data, managing a Cloud landscape on BTP with over 200 subaccounts and 500+ productive applications, used by SAP’s workforce worldwide.

• Collaborate with other units and be responsible for an authentication & authorization strategy for SAP IT’s Cloud landscape on SAP BTP, ensuring a simple yet secure authentication & authorization mechanism following SAP’s guidelines.

• Support the team in introducing more security and automation across SAP IT’s whole Cloud landscape on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), while having simple processes and clear communication in mind.

• Contribute to knowledge sharing by creating and maintaining comprehensive but easy to understand documentation about Cloud-related topics, such as tool guidance, Cloud landscape information, and Cloud processes.

• Closely work together with your colleagues and our stakeholders, to ensure our Cloud landscape is futureproof for SAP’s continued Cloud transformation.

Your Profile

• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience using and working with SAP BTP, related Cloud services and SaaS solutions.

• Good understanding of platform engineering, including automated platform management with Infrastructure as Code/Data.

• Solid knowledge of cloud native development in at least one programming language.

• Experience in authentication (e.g. SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS), XSUAA, or Microsoft Entra ID).

• Experience with working in an agile team would be desirable.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills with attention to detail, and a strong team spirit.

• Goal-oriented and self-organized work style and the strive for excellence.

• Fluent in English language, spoken and written.

Your Future Team

• The mission of the Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) is to provide enablement and guidance in technical architectural topics for all SAP IT development teams globally.

• We provide a SAP BTP foundation for all SAP IT teams worldwide; this includes the Governance and Operations of all SAP BTP environments (Neo, Cloud Foundry, ABAP, Kyma) as well as central tools, strategic services, and applications.

• We evaluate new Cloud and platform technologies to build end-to-end reference architectures for cloud extensions, using cutting edge technologies and defining SAP’s internal Cloud strategy.

• We have extensive technical knowledge and consult, design, develop and deploy applications with and for our development units.

• Additionally, we foster a strong collaboration with all SAP Standard Product teams and share our learnings with both, standard development inside SAP, and customers outside SAP.

• Our team consists of highly skilled experts from all age groups, that besides work enjoy social gatherings in- and outside the office.
