Your ImpactAs the Master Scheduler, you will be responsible for creating, deploying, and maintaining a detailed weekly Master Production Schedule (MPS) for our ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) products. This role is critical in enabling our fabless manufacturing model by coordinating across global front-end foundries and back-end assembly/test partners to ensure a materials- and capacity-feasible production plan.
Master Production Scheduling
- Develop and maintain a weekly Master Production Schedule (MPS) covering a 13-week planning horizon, aligning with customer demand, forecasts, and supply chain constraints.
- Ensure the MPS is both materials-feasible (adequate inventory and raw materials) and capacity-feasible (matching supplier capabilities and production timelines).
Production Planning & Foundry Collaboration
- Partner with front-end foundries to handle wafer starts, cycle times, and output to meet production goals.
- Partner with internal execution and manufacturing teams to align the MPS with back-end assembly and test suppliers to ensure timely package, testing, and finished goods delivery.
- Resolve capacity and scheduling conflicts by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Capacity & Material Planning
- Working with the Capacity Planning Team to analyze and optimize production capacity at both front-end and back-end manufacturing partners, identifying and addressing bottlenecks proactively.
- Coordinate with Supply Planning and Procurement teams to ensure timely availability of wafers, substrates, and other critical materials.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the central point of communication between Demand Planning, Fulfillment, Sales Operations, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of the production plan with business priorities.
- Provide regular updates and scenario plans to collaborators to address risks or demand shifts.
Metric Monitoring & Process Improvement
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production adherence, cycle times, and forecast accuracy.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling efficiency, reduce lead times, and support lean supply chain practices.
Inventory Optimization
- Lead work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory to balance service levels with cost and obsolescence risks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Master Scheduling or production planning within the semiconductor industry.
- Experience working with outsourced manufacturing partners (CM, OSAT, foundry)
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering
Desired Skills
- In-depth understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, including wafer fabrication, assembly, and testing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP)
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality management tools.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
