ABOUT THE ROLE
As team member you will partner with world-class engineers to maintain design integrity and develop product improvements for a best-in-class engine for the business aviation market. You will interact with customers, partners, suppliers, certification authorities and various levels of Honeywell management. You will lead the definition and execution of complex multidisciplinary projects, defining technical requirements, managing budgets and schedules, and presenting technical accomplishments. You will focus on a variety of nacelle systems, including inlets, cowlings, thrust reversers, bleed systems and other powerplant installation systems.
You will report to 111 S 34th St. Phoenix, AZ. This role is eligible for hybrid work mode, except for the first 90 days. Relocation support may be offered.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Executing changes to designs and approved source lists for engine and powerplant components.
- Schedule and milestone development/management.
- Cost and budget management, including estimate development and project planning.
- Technical requirements development.
- Project performance and technical execution.
- Risk/opportunity development and management.
- Vendor interface and management of technical requirements.
- Presenting project plans and status to customers, operators and internal stakeholders.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
WE VALUE
- Direct experience with the design, development and certification of turbomachinery or complex aircraft systems.
- Experience with turbomachine engine installations.
- Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 or equivalent certification requirements.
- Aircraft manufacturer and/or part 25 hardware experience.
- Direct experience with root cause-corrective action investigations, cost reduction programs or new product development.
- Experience working with collaboratively with suppliers to turn designs into hardware and solve problems in production.
- Demonstrated ability to plan technical programs, including budget and schedule estimation, resource planning and risk and requirements management.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize cost and schedule risks before they can cause significant program impact, and the ability to develop and execute sound risk mitigation plans.
- The ability to provide technical contributions essential to the successful completion of projects.
