RPA Development & Process Automation:
- Analyze business processes to identify automation opportunities and assess feasibility.
- Design and develop end-to-end RPA workflows using tools using UiPath platform ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA, SQL, .NET languages) to enhance automation capabilities.
- Develop custom VBA macros and functions to automate manual tasks within Excel and Microsoft Access, improving data processing efficiency.
- Work with Microsoft Access to build and maintain databases, automate queries, and integrate RPA solutions with existing data infrastructure.
- Ensure smooth data transmission and integration between automation bots and various enterprise applications (e.g. databases, APIs).
- Implement best practices for bot deployment, exception handling, and error resolution to ensure robust and reliable automation.
- Optimize existing automations by monitoring bot performance, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing efficiency.
- Work closely with business users and IT and governance teams to ensure seamless adoption and alignment with organizational goals.
Business Information Analysis & Management:
- Perform end-to-end data analysis, including mapping and data remediation, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Utilize data querying skills (e.g., SQL) to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources.
- Understand data transmission processes (e.g., MQ, Kafka) to ensure seamless data flow from source to destination.
- Work with Data Quality initiatives to monitor and improve data integrity.
- Utilize visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Dremio, Databricks, Power BI, Cognos, Tableau) to present data insights clearly and effectively.
- Implement data automation strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
- Employ Python scripts for automation tasks to streamline processes and improve productivity.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus, enabling data solutions in cloud environments.
Agile & Way of Working:
- Apply Agile methodologies, Product Owner mindset, and iterative development practices for automation projects.
- Use Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration tools to track project progress and document automation processes.
- Stay current on emerging RPA trends, tools, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of innovation, actively seeking new opportunities to automate and optimize business processes.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand process requirements and automation objectives.
- Present automation solutions and demonstrate value through impact assessment and performance metrics.
- Guide and mentor junior RPA developers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Communication & Facilitation:
- Convey complex automation concepts in a clear and compelling manner for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT security, compliance, and business units, to ensure automation solutions meet all regulatory and security requirements.
Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving:
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to address automation challenges and improve workflows.
- Develop innovative solutions to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.
- Utilize data analysis skills to interpret trends, validate automation impact, and support business decision-making.
- Identify risks and implement controls to mitigate automation failures and ensure compliance.
E) Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in RPA development, process automation, or software development.
- Experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc.) and knowledge of API integration, SQL, Python, VBA, or JavaScript is preferred.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Access, VBA, and macros, with the ability to build custom functions and automate workflows.
Payment & Deposits Product Domain Knowledge in the following areas is an asset:
- Deep experience with payment data, canonical models, and payment data mapping.
- Knowledge of SWIFT messages, ISO20022, MX and MT formats.
- Understanding of payment systems and methods such as Canada Lynx, US CHIPS, and FedWire, etc.
- Knowledge of non-wire payment methods like drafts and checks.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting such as EFTR Fintrac, sanction screening, fraud detection, anti-money laundering (AML), compliance reporting.
- Understanding of deposit sub-ledger capabilities (like account management, transaction posting, multi-currency handling, interest calculations, liquidity management, controls, and reporting) to drive/ support deposits transformation, an asset.
- Familiarity with various accounts (Nostro, Vostro, Corporate Customer), and integration of payments services with correspondent account processing, an asset.
- Understanding of the interaction between payments and deposits operating models and how these serve client needs and use cases.
