As a Sr DBA role in Database Engineering will be responsible for database administration for technologies like SQL Server, Postgres, and DynamoDB etc. Documents and communicates database design and data models. Evaluates and installs database management systems. Provide database design recommendations, review code, and manage automated releases across various environments. You will follow a collaborative process with architects and peers to find innovative solutions to group specific business problems. Recognize, document, adopt & recommend best database practices across engineering organizations.This is a remote position; however you may be required to be onsite at our Bangalore office on as-needed basis.

• We are looking for a Sr. Level DBA to work with the DBA and Development teams.
• You will work with DevOps, Architecture, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Experience, Information Security, and other groups across the organization.
• You will provide database design recommendations, and conduct DBA activities including development and production support.
• You will create new Databases and decommission Databases in Prod and Non-Production environments.
• You will design and conduct data migration projects, database backup & recovery
• You will be involved in Database Design and Data Architecture/ Data Modeling
• Also, the main activities will include the Database optimization of the development and production systems working with development and infrastructure teams.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or engineering, or related fields preferred.
• 7 to 9 years of Database Administration and Database development experience with SQL Server, Postgres, and any other database platforms in AWS Environment.
• Good experience in Database Management, Database Administration in an AWS environment
• Expert-level hands-on experience in a cloud-based database engineering ecosystem like AWS.
• Understanding of scalable computing systems, data architecture/data modeling, software architecture, database structures, and algorithms.
• Working proficiency in a Linux environment.
• Good database architecture, project management, and communication skills including data analysis and database strategies.
