This role will be part of our Strategic Initiatives leadership team with high visibility at the most senior levels of AWS and Amazon. In this role, you will provide strategic oversight and make high-judgment decisions that affect the company’s direction at the CEO level, utilizing deep market insights to anticipate changes in global trends and pivot strategies swiftly and effectively. You will need to work collaboratively with internal management teams to understand relative advantages and risks, if/when major features should be included to existing roadmaps, and current trends around innovation, consolidation and customer adoption. We dive deep and provide thoughtful technical analysis, but are adaptable and action-oriented, focused on quickly gaining enough context to enable informed decision-making. Identifying and executing strategic partnerships is our primary objective.
Key job responsibilities
* Take the lead to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage partnerships that can involve marketing, content, commerce, and technology components.
* Ability to assess technical feasibility for our AWS business.
* Evaluate the economic and strategic cost-benefit of partnerships.
* Lead cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Tax, Accounting, and senior management to execute on the relationships.
* Develop best practices to foster, manage, and track opportunities.

- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of professional or military experience
- 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience utilizing written and verbal skills influence others internally and externally
