Duties: Lead the validation of financial or economic models in the areas of Capital Adequacy, HR, Pension, Insurance, and Climate Risk. Communicate with stakeholders, including model sponsors, auditors, and regulators, and discuss validation finding related to models. Provide oversight on the validation in these areas. Assess modeling data and assumptions, conceptual soundness, and mathematical formulation, based on quantitative or theoretical evidence. Evaluate model performance and fit for purpose according to regulatory requirements and business needs, based on statistical techniques and financial knowledge. A telecommuting /hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Three (3) years of experience must include: Performing or analyzing financial modeling utilizing calculus, numerical analysis, statistics, and linear algebra; Applying knowledge of financial business practices, regulatory requirements, financial products, risk management, and regulatory requirements to understand target specifications and scope of financial models; Building and validating quantitative models, analyzing model data, and modifying underlying model code using analytical or scientific software, including MATLAB, PYTHON and SAS; Utilizing object or component oriented development software, including Python and C++; Drafting business or technical documentation including validation reports; Conducting model development and validation testing using various techniques, identifying potential model weakness and developing adequate statistical or performance tests used in the evaluation of model compliance according to target requirements or specifications; Programming, executing and developing model code using development environment software, including Microsoft Visual Studio; Utilizing financial analysis software, including S&P CapitalIQ as a data source or for preliminary data processing. 40 hrs./wk.
