What you'll do:

As a Solution Customer Success Manager Expert (f/m/d) (S-CSM) for SAP Business AI, you will act as a trusted advisor to assigned accounts in your Market Unit maximizing customer lifetime value by driving consumption of AI units and focusing on value driven business outcomes. You will leverage your expertise in the specific solution area from identifying consumption demand, setting up AI adoption initiatives for SAP’s broad Business AI portfolio to supporting customers post-sale.

  • Build deep executive relationships and earn trusted advisor status with customers
  • Identify new opportunities for customers to leverage new or expanded SAP solutions
  • Mitigate churn and manage renewals of SAP solutions/services
  • Identify sales leads and support sales in expansion and upsell efforts
  • Manage through crisis and de-escalate customer situations
  • Drive renewals, expansions, and up-sells of subscription or perpetual license-based solutions
  • Advising stakeholders on best practices and strategies for data management, data governance, and AI implementation.
  • Analying the latest industry trends and developments in data science, machine learning, and AI, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for the company.

What you bring:

  • Strong executive presence and relationship building skills
  • Deep knowledge of business models, strategies, and line of business processes
  • Proven ability to handle difficult customer situations and discuss complex issues with customer executives
  • Experience with cloud software solutions and delivery models
  • Expert level buying center/Lines of Business domain expertise
  • Ability to apply risk-mitigation strategies to customer situations
  • Knowledge of SAP solutions portfolio and the business processes they enable
  • Some technical understanding for assigned solution area to address technical issues with customers
  • Full working proficiency in German and Business English, with proficiency in additional languages considered a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • Experience in business software
  • Knowledge of SAAS and IAAS processes
  • Strong program/project management and governance skills
  • Expert commercial/deal support skills
  • Relationship-driven mindset with excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Experience driving renewals, expansions, and up-sells of subscription or perpetual license-based solutions.
  • Experience in forecasting of consumption plans
  • Experience in positioning SAP’s broad Business AI portfolio across lines of business and industries
  • SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Signavio and/or SAP S/4HANA background desired
  • Enterprise architecture knowledge desired
  • Ability to identify and drive sales opportunities in collaboration with Account Executives (f/m/d) and Solution Sales Executives (f/m/d).
  • The ideal candidate (f/m/d) will be able to help expand SAP’s footprint by positioning business data as the strategic enabler of corporate goals and ensuring that our data and AI solutions align and integrate seamlessly with the overall business strategy.

You will work closely with SAP MU leadership, account teams, industry teams, and solution management organization. You will also coordinate internal SAP and partner resources to ensure value delivery.
